Ocean Winds, an international company dedicated to offshore wind energy and created as a 50-50 joint venture by EDP Renewables and ENGIE, was awarded last night two prestigious PFI (Project Finance International) Awards at Global and European level, highlighting its commitment to pioneering sustainable offshore wind energy projects. The PFI Awards are prestigious accolades recognizing excellence and innovation in the global project finance industry.
Ocean Winds was awarded the PFI’s 2023 Sponsor of the Year at the Global Awards, underscoring its seamless collaboration and expansive global business development strategies, securing 7.4 billion euros in project financing for the Moray West, Dieppe Le Tréport, and îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier projects in April 2023.
Ocean Winds’ Moray West project was also awarded the European Power Deal of the Year 2023. Moray West’s innovative revenue structure and utilization of cutting-edge technology mark a significant milestone in the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions within the European market.
